David Peralta is Pretty Good!

David Peralta is quietly having a bangin’ year at age 30.  21 homeruns, .303 BA, and an .889 OPS in 107 games this season.  Josh and I start off the show with praise for the Dbacks outfielder, and get into Dodgers and Rockies pitching in the NL West roundup.

(9:20) In ’18 XOXO baseball, the playoff teams are set.  Josh, Shannon, myself, and Justin are all in and we all give our ’18 fantasy baseball MVPs, LVPs, and why we think our teams will prevail.

(32:27) The Other 33 – The Meg came out this weekend and I went to check it out.  The rest of America also checked it out because it was number 1 at the box office this weekend, hauling in 44.5 million.  Josh and I discuss why people love shark movies and what scares us in the wild.

TGH Podcast – Prisoner of the Moment Dbacks Twitter

Why don’t Dbacks fans believe in their team?  A question I ask myself when I go to Twitter.  Lots of “Dbacks should sell” tweets these days, and I’m not a fan.  Josh, Cole and I give our two cents on the Dbacks playoff push and how dumb fans can be.

Before the Dbacks however, a fantasy discussion that’s been brewing for over a year.  Fantasy enemy, Cole, makes his TGH debut and defends himself after being bashed for a year on the show.

(23:00) The MLB playoffs are just around the corner, so we gave our predictions for who we think the five playoff teams from each league will be.

TGH – Suns and Kings Fans Unite Against Luka Doncic

The Golden Hate Podcast returns with a bang.  David (Kings) and I (Suns) discuss how we will live in fear that our teams will go down in history as the teams that passed on Luka Doncic.

(Ringer video i referred to @ (17:43)

Despite my fear, I have potentially gone off the rails and proclaim that Deandre Ayton is already better than Karl-Anthony Towns.

(20:50) David and I dig into some much needed fantasy baseball talk.  I get into my reasoning behind shipping off one of my favorite players, Noah Syndergaard, in a blockbuster XOXO deal.  I love you, Noah.  I’m sorry.

Next, we give our biggest disappointments thus far in the 2018 season.  Lots of regret from us both in this department.

TGH – Kershaw Hurt Again, NBA Finals Game 1, and NL West Roundup

I caught up with THE MadBum to kick off the show.  Said some things I probably shouldn’t have said, but The Golden Hate runs deep inside of me and I can’t help myself.

Next, Clayton Kershaw is hurt once again and the NL West is very much up for grabs.  I get into how injuries are killing some teams, while others just have horrible starting pitchers like Jon Gray.

(9:40) NBA Finals Game 1 was an absolute all-timer.  I run through all the story lines from the game, including a Bill Buckner like error for J.R. Smith.

TGH-Dbacks Death, Suns Universe, and The Marshall Mathers LP

We kick off the show with Dbacks death.  Losers of 13 of their last 14, panic mode is putting it lightly.  Can the Dbacks bounce back this season?  We give our opinions on the matter and try to talk each other off the ledge.

(19:30) Next, Matt and I discuss the Suns getting the #1 pick and the Karl-Anthony Towns trade rumors.  The Suns are the center of the bad team universe and we are living it up as Suns fans.

(31:48) The Marshall Mathers LP came out 18 years ago this week so we jump into some Eminem memories.  I also went to my first music festival last weekend (see Snoop Dogg picture above) and I still am not a concert guy.

TGH-Mark Reynolds Ruined SNB, The Goldslump, and The Hot ATL Braves

Mark Reynolds, former Dback and strikeout artist, brought pain and shame to AZ Sunday night.  I was not happy about this and proceed to rant about the success Mark has had against the Dbacks the past couple seasons.

Paul Goldschmidt is struggling in epic fashion.  Shannon and I take a dive into the Goldslump and give our thoughts of when/how it will end.

The rest of the show consists of the NL leading ATL Braves.  Shannon is TGH’s Braves expert, so we talk their staff and if they can hang on to win the NL East.

Lastly, NL MVP Power Rankings.  Shannon had some issues with my A.J. Pollock MVP talk last week, so we hash that out and ask questions as to what the voters actually vote for when it comes to MVP.

TGH-Robbie Ray’s Oblique, Texts With Friends, and Grizzly Fest

We start off with Robbie Ray’s strained oblique.  Quite the buzzkill as the Dbacks are off to their best start in team history.

(4:18) I dive into some texts from the XOXO Baseball guys.  From LeBron to Fantasy Baseball blunders, I do my best to answer their questions.

(20:14) Grizzly Fest is a music festival with some controversy around it.  I will be attending in a couple of weeks, so I had Gia on to give me the details on the controversy and what to expect at a music festival.

TGH-Kiss From a Rosen

Arizona Cardinals fans are back from the dead and we got a new QB!  Josh Rosen is the newest Cards’ QB and I had to talk about it.  Quick pod giving my reaction to the trade and me gloating about predicting the trade with the Raiders earlier in the day (check the screen shot).
